1. What databases do you have?

We subscribe to the following databases: NewsBank (includes America’s GenealogyBank and Dallas Morning News Historical Archive, 1885-1977); NewspaperArchive; ProQuest Obituaries; Ancestry Library Edition; Fold3 (formerly Footnote); and HeritageQuest Online (part of the TexShare databases).

2. Do you have old newspapers?

We have the Grapevine Sun on microfilm from 1898 to April 2009 when it ceased publication. Some issues are missing, and we have a list of missing issues from 1901 through 1934. The years 1977 through 1979 are also missing.

The Grapevine Banner: January 1978 through July 1982
The Corsicana Democrat and Truth: January 23, 1908 through July 27, 1918

3. Do you do lookups?

We will lookup specific names from specific books, microfilm, and CD-ROMs in the collection at no charge. If you want a printed page or photocopy, the cost is $1.00 per page.

4. How much do copies cost?

We charge $1.00 a page to cover copying and postage. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Grapevine Public Library.
