MEOW WOLF Community Meetings  
Meow Wolf is an American arts and entertainment company that creates large-scale interactive and immersive art installations - and they will be coming to Grapevine in 2023! You are invited to meet the Meow Wolf team on Wednesday, July 27 from 6:30-7:30pm at The REC, 1175 Municipal Way, or in Dallas on Thursday, July 28 at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center, 223 Jefferson Boulevard, Dallas, 75208 from 6:30-7:30pm.  
They wish to hear from our Grapevine citizens - and they will also be sharing information about their upcoming project. Don't miss this fun and interactive meeting.

Parr Park Trail Closure – Through Friday, July 29 
The construction project currently being conducted by Trinity River Authority Wastewater requires the Parr Park trail, from the bridge north of the soccer fields to south of Heritage Avenue to be closed through Friday, July 29. Tree removal continues inside the orange construction fencing between SH 121 (William D. Tate Avenue) and Parr Park. Occasional trail closures will be conducted throughout the duration of this ongoing project.  
 
Santa Cops “Christmas in July” Toy Drive – Through Friday, July 29 
The Grapevine Police Department and the Community Outreach Center are collecting gifts for teens that will be distributed by Grapevine police officers in December. Donations are being accepted at the Grapevine Chamber of Commerce, 200 Vine Street East, and at the House of Shine, 334 West Barton. Suggested items include earbuds, selfie lights, funko pops, and instant print cameras.

Grand Finale Concert starring Lucas Miller: The Singing Zoologist – Tomorrow, July 28 - FREE 
Lucas Miller’s Singing Zoologist concert is a dazzling, multimedia blend of music and science. Giggle, sing, and move, as you learn about wetlands, clownfish, sharks, plankton, and more. Lucas has reached millions through his school programs and YouTube channel, “Science Up with the Singing Zoologist.” His recordings have won many awards and he was named an “American Masterpiece” artist by the National Endowment for the Arts. Please join us for this special family event to wrap up “Oceans of Possibilities” summer reading club. All ages. No registration needed.

Deep in the Heart – FREE Movie Screening – Friday, July 29 - FREE 
Celebrate National Park and Recreation month with a free movie screening of Deep in the Heart, a visually stunning celebration of Texas’ diverse landscapes and remarkable wildlife found nowhere else. Narrated by Matthew McConaughey, the film aims to conserve Texas’ remaining wild places, show the connectivity of water and wildlife, and to recognize Texas’ conservation importance on a continental scale. This family-friendly event features games, bounce houses, and activities. Food and drink will also be available for purchase. Deep in the Heart is presented by Grapevine Parks and Recreation, Keep Grapevine Beautiful, Texas Parks and Wildlife and, the Texas Recreation and Park Society.

Paws and Pastries - Saturday, July 30 - FREE 
Who let the dogs out? Grapevine Parks and Recreation did! Join the Parks team for their third annual Paws and Pastries event. Bring your four-legged friend out to Bark Park at Bear Creek Park for a morning of treats, cool pet supply vendors, music, and tons of belly rubs. This event is free for all ages. Classic Cartoon & Crafts – Tuesday, August 2                                       
Bring the little ones to watch classic cartoons while making a fun craft at the Lancaster Theatre. The children’s ticket will include a craft activity, classic cartoons, a small popcorn, and a drink (bottled water or juice box). The adult’s ticket includes classic cartoons and a drink (bottled water or juice box). Tiny Toon Adventures  will be the feature cartoon and the craft will be Glitter Mosaic Fish. Stitch Craft Circle: Needlepoint, Embroidery, and Cross Stitch - Every Saturday in August 
Bring your favorite needlepoint, embroidery, or cross stitch project to work on with your fellow circle of needlework crafters. We will also have small practice projects available for use by anyone who would like to join. All skill levels are welcome. The Library always accepts and appreciates donations of extra materials for future sessions. No registration required.

Summer Splash Bash – Sunday Afternoons through August 14 - FREE 
This July, Grapevine Main and Harvest Hall are kicking off their Summer Splash Bash Series, a free outdoor summer celebration. Children may enjoy their summer break splashing it up in the Harvest Hall splash pad, catching air in the bouncy house, speeding down a water slide, chasing bubbles from the bubble bus, enjoying delicious treats, and so much more.  Games and activities will be provided for all ages, including yard games and small wading pools for families with children under two years of age. Please bring your own towels.

Planes & Trains Guided Tour through Friday, August 12 
Grapevine’s Planes & Trains guided tour treats visitors to a tour of Grapevine Main Station and Observation Tower, a one-hour excursion aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, and a stop at Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation area. Beginning at the Grapevine Visitor Information Center, participants will be guided through Grapevine Main Station to the top of the Observation Tower to watch airplanes take off and land while learning about the history of DFW International Airport. This is followed by a guided stroll through the 1888 Cotton Belt Train Depot and a one-hour excursion on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad—where an old-fashioned train robbery is rumored to take place. From there, participants will take a chartered ride on the Grapevine Visitors Shuttle down Historic Main Street to Founders’ Plaza Airport Observation Area where they will be able to watch aircraft from around the world take off and land. Visitors may even be able to hear dialogue between pilots and the control tower. Tickets are available at GrapevineTicketLine.com.

The Grapevine Farmers and Artisan Market is an open-air market in Historic Downtown Grapevine offering fresh Texas produce, baked goods, and handcrafted Texas-made items. It is a great place to bring the whole family, learn about Texas products, and shop locally.
