MADD Recognizes Officers

MADD 2022 awards

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Texas honored three Grapevine Police officers on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Texas Star Conference Center in Euless.

The "Take the Wheel" law enforcement recognition luncheon is held annually to raise awareness of law enforcement and community efforts to stop drunk driving.

Detective Philip Wolan was presented with the Enforcement Hero Award for making the most DWI arrests of any officer in his department for 2021. Detective Wolan make 72 DWI arrests throughout the year.

Detective Brad Mitchell and Officer Oliver Poole were presented with the Commitment Hero Award for exemplifying a strong commitment to DWI education or enforcement in their department. The Grapevine Police Department was the only agency to have two officers recognized in this category.

The Department thanks MADD and all of the patrol officers and detectives who remain committed to keeping Grapevine roads and the community safe from intoxicated drivers.
